Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Antepartum Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; less than 2 years experience with C-Sections will be screened for manager approval License: Active, in process, or no license required on profile; compact licenses accepted Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (required); ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: - Previous working experience in high-risk antepartum care - Intermediate AWHONN Job Description: - Care for high-risk antepartum patients from 6 weeks to 41 weeks gestation, managing conditions such as PTL, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, and substance use disorder in pregnancy - Provide care for fetal demise or loss of patients, both antepartum and postpartum - Manage postpartum mothers with babies in NICU; no newborns are on this unit - Support amniocentesis or sterile speculum exams at the bedside - Utilize PCA pumps, PICC/Central lines, and syringe pumps - Administer medications such as anticoagulants, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy - Assist with sterile speculum exams including effacement, dilation, station, and presentation - Circulate for C-sections - Perform IV therapy/phlebotomy, maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) - Float required to Postpartum unit - Wear any color scrubs; specific scrubs provided when floated to L&D units - Complete orientation, which includes non-billable modules, averaging 16 hours; time spent is self-reported, completion recorded in Workramp transcripts - Flu vaccine status is unknown; COVID-19 vaccine not required - Complete three weekend shifts every 6 weeks, 50% less than the usual schedule - Must have a minimum of two supervisory references covering one year (or six months for CNA) of similar employment within the last three years
