TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Dickinson, North Dakota, 58601 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Day/Night Rotate, Weekends and Holidays as needed, first to float Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required to submit Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Trauma Care Experience or TNCC / TCAR Certification - Ability to titrate ICU typical drips - NIHSS, PALS & TNCC/TCAR or experience with trauma patient care Job Description: - Unit Details: - Number of Beds: 4 - Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity - Common Diagnoses: DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac issues (rate and rhythm control), medical detox, art lines, CVP - RNs are required to titrate drips and interpret tele strips - Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow) from nasal cannula to vent level - Read and interpret tele/monitor strips - Team Structure: - No Charge Nurse per shift; Emergency Room oversees the ICU - No Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs on this unit - Scheduling: - Shifts: 7-7 - Director-created schedule - Weekend and Holiday Work Requirements: Will work where there is a need - Floating Requirements: Medical Surgery or Emergency Room (for 1:1) - Orientation: - Three 12-hour shifts as unit/department-specific orientation - Additional Notes: - Ideal attributes include coachability, motivation, ability to identify and coach in unsafe situations, and teamwork capability - Dress Code: - Scrub Color: Navy Candidates must reside outside a certain radius and may not be employed full time, part time, or per diem with any associated facility within related systems. RTO needed upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved post-submission. Cancellation Policy allows for up to three shifts per contract. The charting system used is Meditech, and a BSN is not required.
