This position is associated with that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future with an anticipated target of Jan 1, 2025. The Business HR Senior Director for Altera will be responsible for leading an HR team that will work closely with Altera leaders and will be expected to be an expert in understanding what the customer requirements are and knowing when to engage the right resources to augment identified knowledge gaps. They will lead an account team comprising BHR partners and the matrixed HR functional teams supporting Altera globally, who will provide HR solutions that deliver meaningful results for the business. They must develop a strong, capable HR team who demonstrate deep fluency in HR and its Centers of Excellence, have very strong executive influencing skills and demonstrate an ability to navigate through ambiguity. Responsibilities: Develop and implement the global HR strategy aligned with the business strategy. Provide strategic counsel and coaching to executive business leaders on talent management, organizational design, change management, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations. Conduct one-on-one effectiveness coaching with senior leaders to improve leadership capability or the resolution of leadership gaps. Manage and lead a Global Business HR team and cross-HR account team to provide proactive and effective solutions to employees, managers and leaders around HR and employee challenges. Drive the execution of the HR objectives and key results (OKRs) and initiatives in the region, ensuring alignment with the global HR OKRs and initiatives. Manage the budget and headcount plan for the HR function, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Build and maintain effective and influential relationships with key stakeholders across the global organization, including executive leaders, business unit leaders, functional leaders, and external partners. Monitor and analyze the HR metrics and trends and provide insights and recommendations to improve Business performance and impact. Ensure compliance with the local and regional laws, regulations, and policies related to HR and employment. Utilize broad HR domain expertise to lead talent decisions, forecasting, and workforce planning, in partnership with Talent Acquisition partners to enable a strategic holistic workforce plan. Use data and analytics to understand the health of the organization, talent and related HR services within the business and develop interventions in partnership with the COEs to resolve business challenges. Manage the talent pools at the business level and play an active role in the recruitment and interview processes (for senior leaders), influencing selection processes that encourage diversity of candidates, geographic workforce, and use of best hiring practices to attract talent. Support the transformation of the Business HR organization into a strategic learning organization that aligns to LEAN principles, efficiency and upskilling across Business HR. Enable teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results; may be individual contributors that lead cross-functional, account teams that work together to deliver the talent lifecycle. Drive results by inspiring people, role modeling Altera values, active coaching, developing the capabilities of others, and ensuring a productive work environment. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 10 years in Business HR and 5 years in a senior HR leadership role for a global company. Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and programs that support business objectives and drive results. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Organization Development or related field or equivalent mix of education and experience. Demonstrated business and strategic acumen: translates internal and external intelligence into insights that shape strategy and decision making, drives the organization to be ahead of the competition and influence innovative ways of doing business, drives transformational changes in our approach to business challenges, and continually assesses the external environment and the organization's readiness for change. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility with executive leaders, and to influence actions and growth beyond their comfort zone, yet be able to challenge business leaders and have difficult conversations constructively and boldly. Assumes responsibility: has high integrity, leads with an ethos of neutrality to act as a sounding board for HR Staff, Business leaders and able to pulse the culture and sentiment of the site. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing HR team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and insights to drive decisions and actions. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, trends, and innovations, as well as local and regional HR laws, regulations, and policies. Ability to operate effectively in a complex, dynamic, and matrixed environment, with the agility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
