We have a great opportunity as a Communications Manager II specializing internal and external communications including Public Relations and employee communications to support the overall success of the company.
In this role, you will use your skills to lead a communications team that supports a key business area for SNC, a multi-billion-dollar global leader in aerospace and defense. You will work closely with all members of the communications team and leaders across the Enterprise to build and execute an integrated communications strategy that promotes SNC and our transformative solutions that safeguard freedom. You and your team will be responsible to support key growth and business objectives for a key business area, including PR and media relations, key stakeholder communications, tradeshow support, advertising support and strong internal communications to maintain high employee pride and engagement. This role is also responsible social media strategy for SNC including growth and content strategy.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.
Responsibilities: Develop and execute integrated communications plans that align with business objectives, including public relations and media relations, content creation for a variety of audiences, employee communications and event/tradeshow support Create engaging content including press releases, native content, internal articles, advertising, and more for use across all channels Media relations including pitch development, ongoing relationship building, and on-site communications support at events such as trade shows Develop and oversee social media strategy to grow overall audience and engagement Stay up-to-date on latest marketing and communications trends and best practices, and share insights and recommendations with team members Train and support team members on using various digital tools and platforms Mentor direct reports and other junior team members in support of a positive work environment committed to professional development Ability to Travel: 3-4x per year to meet with leadership; and travel to support trade shows. 15-20%
Must-haves: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field A higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education Typically, 8+ years of progressive communications experience, which includes 4+ years of management experience. Success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns Public Relations and media relations experience including relevant tools to track and measure effectiveness. Social Media strategy development and execution including relevant tools to track and measure effectiveness Strong organizational and project management skills Exceptional writing skills Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, accountability, and conducting yearly reviews Ability to analyze and interpret analytical data Prior experience working in a dynamic team environment
Preferred: A&D experience and/or experience in a large corporation highly preferred B2B and/or B2G experience preferred TV/Spokesperson experience is a benefit Basic photo and video editing knowledge preferred Highly organized, creative, articulate and possess excellent people and management skills Ability to work flexible hours & travel when necessary
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
