PROJECT MANAGER POSITION: Relocation to Texas
A highly regarded AISC Certified Steel Fabricator and Erector in the area is looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team. We’re a team of steel masters who prioritize design-assist, design-build, and value engineering solutions to ensure we meet the specific needs of each client.
The Project Manager must have strong communication skills and highly focused on teamwork and collaboration.
You will be coordinating and overseeing all the different departments through out the fabrication and erection Process. With over 60 years of experience as a full service steel fabricator serving customer needs all across the continental United States. The company has developed an affinity for handling complex projects on time and within budget. They take pride in developing long term relationships with our customers and enjoys an ongoing 85% repeat business. Strategically located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, they efficiently ships and installs structural steel throughout texas and all areas of the country. Their compensation package is competitive, including bonuses, and a 401K program. Project Manager Skills and Requirements:
2 years of project management experience or Engineering experience Working knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication processes and procedures Ability to read and accurately interpret sketches and blueprints, including design, construction, architectural and sub contractor drawings Ability to perform work accurately and completely in a timely manner Familiarity of AISC codes
Project Management Job Responsibilities Include:
Attend “kick-off” meetings to become familiar with and discuss new projects Coordinate sequencing and any special job issues with General Contractors Keep track of all submittals and press for timely return Communicate with field superintendents to confirm delivery schedules Communicate with detailers for release of jobs for fabrication Update Job Schedule as needed Address and service any field problems immediately
