Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Burner to join our team. In this role, you will be trained to operate CNC and Plasma cutting machines to process carbon and stainless steel for fabrication. You will adhere to lean manufacturing initiatives, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety programs. The position requires maintaining proper operator-level preventative maintenance to ensure continuous machine operation and possessing sufficient knowledge to troubleshoot and accurately calibrate burning equipment. You will also be responsible for understanding and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, operating overhead cranes and material handling equipment, conducting dimensional inspections of parts, and performing secondary processing operations associated with the CNC Burning process. Responsibilities Operate CNC and Plasma cutting machines to process carbon and stainless steel for fabrication. Adhere to lean manufacturing initiatives, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety programs. Maintain proper operator-level preventative maintenance to ensure continuous machine operation. Troubleshoot and accurately calibrate burning equipment. Understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment. Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and check for quality requirements. Perform secondary processing operations associated with the CNC Burning process. Essential Skills Experience with CNC operations, including CNC Plasma and CNC Burner machines. Knowledge of carbon steel machining and stainless steel fabrication. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to operate burning equipment and perform precision machining. Experience with micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools. Overhead crane operation and rigging experience. Basic computer skills for email and web-based communications. Additional Skills & Qualifications A minimum of three (3) years in large-scale/large component CNC machining. Proven ability to develop the machining skills of others. Experience with inspection of parts, overhead crane, rigging, break press setup, and cutting/fabricating metals. Why Work Here?

This position operates under the direction of the Team Manager and is responsible for safely producing quality parts in a timely manner. Our facility features the largest Roll Forming & Press Break machine in the Northern Hemisphere and currently has three large machining centers. There are potential growth opportunities to learn multiple different machining centers. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with optional overtime at the front end of the shift, averaging 45-50 hours per week. Job Type & Location
