In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with our dynamic Geospatial & Digital Solutions (GDS) Market Sector team to seamlessly integrate geospatial data and technologies, empowering the science and engineering community with the right data, at the right time, in the right place, to make wiser decisions. Reporting directly to the Vice President & Market Sector Lead for GDS, you will drive both business strategy and technical solutions, propelling market growth and achieving long-term goals. Join us and be a part of a team that is committed to making a meaningful impact on the world. What You'll Do: Develop and Execute SaaS Strategy:

Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for growing a state-of-the-art SaaS business model within GDS. Solution Design:

Lead the design and development of innovative SaaS solutions, creating key artifacts such as architectural models, process diagrams, and concepts of operation. Innovative Approaches:

Craft differentiated, innovative technical approaches to bridge gaps within customer programs and enhance SaaS offerings. Technical Recommendations:

Provide unsolicited technical recommendations and develop collateral and RFI/RFP responses to engage prospective customers. Talent Acquisition:

Identify, attract, and retain top talent to build a high-performing team capable of driving SaaS innovation and growth. Infrastructure Development:

Oversee the development and maintenance of robust, scalable infrastructure to support SaaS offerings, ensuring high availability and performance. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with GDS team members to identify and implement the best technical and business strategies to differentiate GDS in the SaaS market. Mentorship:

Coach and advise junior solution architecture and proposal support resources, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Partnerships and Alliances:

Forge strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders, including technology providers, academic institutions, and industry leaders, to enhance GDS's SaaS capabilities. Technical Documentation:

Author technical volume introductions, key sections, and orals slides, including developing compelling graphics to support SaaS initiatives. Business Development Responsibilities: Market Analysis:

Support and validate thorough market analysis to identify opportunities, understand customer needs, and stay ahead of industry trends. Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/RFP responses to engage prospective customers and position GDS to win. Customer Engagement:

Engage with current and prospective customers to understand their critical needs, socialize and vet how SaaS solutions can assist them in overcoming challenges, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results. Teaming Strategies:

Develop and execute teaming strategies, including identifying and vetting potential partners to enhance SaaS offerings. Cost Strategies:

Develop cost strategies, LOEs/BOEs/BOMs, and associated rationale to support SaaS business growth. Customer Advocacy:

Advocate for customers' key program initiatives within GDS, ensuring SaaS solutions align with their mission objectives. What You'll Bring: Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g., Computer Engineering, Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Computer Science, etc.). 15+ years of experience designing and delivering geospatial solutions in diverse markets, assisting customers and organizations in achieving objectives. Experience growing successful SaaS startups. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Familiarity with Department of Navy technical approaches related to next-generation cloud, network, and cybersecurity technologies. Ability to acquire & subsequently maintain relevant domain accreditations in at least two of the following Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google. Currency with Department of Defense technical approaches specifically related to next generation adoption of Cloud, Network and Cybersecurity emerging technologies. Experience in a P&L capacity, balancing business-oriented objectives with solution delivery. ITIL and PMP certifications. Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen. Comply with company drug and alcohol policy. Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date. Additional Requirements: US Citizenship required to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Compensation: Expected Salary:

Location Requirements: The position will primarily work a hybrid schedule with some days onsite at Versar HQ in Washington, DC.
