Roadway Design - Project Manager

Responsibilities of the position include:
Oversite of teams conducting work on transportation projects, including roadway design, traffic operations, roadway design, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental assessments. Managing the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for various projects Reviewing preliminary and final plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates, making necessary recommendations for modifications Participating in contract bidding and administration as needed Supervising and observing project design and progress, coordinating with City, State, and County officials and other agencies Supervising junior engineers and technical support personnel Coordinating projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff Communicating and interacting with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate Resolving complex problems, such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology 5-10 years of experience in the transportation industry Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is required - E.I.T. would be considered. Demonstrated working knowledge of software systems: HCS, SYNCHRO, SIDRA, CORSIM, VISSIM, CUBE, TransCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Office Experience with DOT projects
