EMG/Gravity Media is looking for a HR Business Partner who is passionate about providing day-to-day operational best-in-class support across all facets of HR. They will be the first point of contact for employees. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role with a positive and engaging approach.
The successful candidate will be assigned to recruit, manage, and oversee EMG/Gravity Media staff stationed at Project Stryker, the Remote Broadcast Center owned and operated by our client Riot Games. The candidate will be based in Seattle, WA and will work across the Riot Games’ Esport broadcasts featuring championships and tournaments from titles such as League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Valorant. This role requires on-site presence.
JOB PURPOSE
Recruitment and Selection
Manage the recruitment process; create job descriptions, internal & external advertising, candidate screening, arranging interviews, hosting interviews, tracking recruitment process, and maintaining talent pool via HRIS.
Support our commitment to developing the next generation of talent into the industry and EMG/Gravity Media by sourcing industry savvy technicians with gaming knowledge. The successful candidate will do this through several resources including local and regional schools, colleges and universities, and by tapping into the broadcast and gaming market in Seattle. Key points – identifying and driving work experience, placements, training programs and graduate opportunities.
Onboarding:
Issue offers of employment, contracts, and job descriptions.
Address any queries, reference checking.
Conduct New Hire Orientations and I-9 verifications
Ensure equal access to career growth opportunities through advertising internally and advising on upskilling.
Employee engagement – Create employee engagement plans i.e., manage the existing referral program, recognition, internal message board, initiating and manage activities – in line with Head of HR – EMEA & Marketing – EMEA.
Coordinate probation reviews and annual assessments via HRIS.
Offboarding: manage the process; return of company equipment, relevant documentation including exit interviews
Policies and procedures – Draft & refresh and HR policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
Advise on current legislation to support the Company and people managers.
Employee relations – Advise, guide, and assist with employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary hearings, and other formal meetings.
HR records – Proactively audit ‘e’ files to ensure all required documentation & information is present and up to date (hard copies and HRIS).
Streamline HR processes and reports to roll out to managers to ensure consistent approach to Management.
Prepare monthly HR reports and metrics as required.
Complete verification of employments (VOE’s).
Develop and implement safety policies and conduct safety training
Oversee other applicable required training programs.

Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
THE ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE
Knowledge of current US employment and Washington state labor laws.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Previous payroll (wages, salaries, benefits) experience.
Relevant HR Management 3rd level qualification or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training (minimum 5+ years’ demonstrable experience).
