Director of Engineering Seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Department Manager, Distribution Engineering
with a focus on design to lead a talented team of engineers. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Distribution Engineering Department, overseeing the design of new electric distribution systems, upgrades, and system enhancements. Develop and implement strategies for the growth, upgrade, and maintenance of the electric distribution network to ensure reliability and meet industry standards. Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technical professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and safety. Review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, and project plans to ensure alignment with project scope, timelines, and budgets. Collaborate with project management, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of designs and successful project delivery. Support clients including but not limited to developers, wholesale power providers, investor owned utilities, and local municipalities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electric distribution engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of overhead and underground design, working with voltages 4kV- 34kV. Proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate engineering teams.
