Job Title: Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialist Job Specialty: RRT-NICU Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year; unit will accept first-time travelers License: NC or Compact license required at start Certifications: BLS, NRP, CRTT, ACLS, RRT, PALS Must-Have: Experience in Level III NICU and PICU Job Description: - Provide respiratory support and care in a Level III NICU and PICU setting. - Perform airway management, medication administration, and ventilation management. - Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, oxygen therapy, suction, and pulmonary toileting. - Utilize and manage bronchoscopes, nebulizers, BiPAP, CPAP, and Servo I systems. - Document patient care and procedures using EPIC software. - Participate in special procedures such as heated high-flow nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, and nitric oxide administration. - Manage high-risk deliveries and provide asthma education. - Handle pediatric tracheostomies and participate in pediatric rapid response and trauma response teams. - Use special equipment, including Drager VN500 and 3100A ventilators. - Work every other weekend as per unit schedule requirements. - Complete a required 8-hour unit orientation. - Adhere to the facility's fatigue policy. - Engage in non-billable module learning pre-start and annually. Note: RTO cannot be taken after booking and must be planned as per unit guidelines. Floating between units may be required based on skill set and census needs. Two references from the past 12 months are highly preferred at submission.
