Supplier Quality Engineer 2

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 2 to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team supporting Generation Core Engine parts with high technical/quality level. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, leadership skills, and intercultural expertise which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer 2 Location: Charlotte, NC Pay Range: $30.00-35.00 per hour What's the Job? * Conduct supplier qualification and development * Collaborate with multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally * Address nonconformances with conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures * Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measurements at the supplier * Participate design review as main interface of SQM with design engineers What's Needed? * Bachelor of Science Degree required in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering or a similar discipline. Masters Degree desired Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. * Experience performing supplier qualification, product/ process qualification & technical supplier development to provide a global, demand covering, quality assured and cost-effective supply base for responsible suppliers * Experience in leading projects and running virtual cross-functional teams in an international environment * Extensive knowledge in welding and coating.
