Scheduling: Shifts will consist of at least 3 consecutive day shift with surgical call once a week, occurring approximately once every 5 weekends.
Job Responsibilities:
Patient Follow-Up: The primary responsibility is to follow the patient's journey from the OR to discharge and clinic visits.
Mechanical Circulatory Device Therapy: Provide care to patients requiring mechanical circulatory device therapy, including VV/VA ECMO, Impella, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump. Perform procedures such as CABG (off and on pump), valve surgeries (sternotomy and minimal invasive), and emergent dissections.
First Assist: Act as a first and second assistant during surgical procedures.
Proficiency in EVH and Other Approaches: Demonstrate proficiency in Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH), saphenous vein and radial approaches, utilizing Maquet equipment.
Diverse Clinical Settings: Provide care in the ICU, stepdown unit, and clinic settings.
High Acuity: Manage patients with high acuity needs, requiring specialized care.
ECMO Center: Work in an ECMO center with multiple daily ECMO management cases.
Procedural Skills: Perform central line and arterial line placements, as well as chest tube placements.
