Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant Job at LHH Recruitment Solutions in Wixom

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client of ours located in Wixom, MI. They are a large nationwide retailer that is seeking an Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant to join their team immediately. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity that is fully on-site. An enthusiastic and positive personality that can operate in a fast-paced environment would be an ideal fit for this growing team.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process sales tax

• Process bank wires, assist with month end, bank and credit card reconciliations, tire and waste fee processing

• Assist with preparation of financial statements

• Assist with processing parts sales

• Process commission adjustments 

• Looking for an entry level accounting skillset that has experience with journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, financial prep

• Sales tax is a big part of the role, every item that is sold has sales tax associated with it

• This is a very fast-paced and busy environment, and the candidate must be able to pivot across multiple duties quickly

• Looking for advanced Excel knowledge (VLOOKUPS, calculations, pivot tables, formulas, etc)

Hours: 8:30-5, they are closed the week b/t Christmas and NYs

Experience: 3-5 years

Degree required: Strongly Preferred - but not required

Dress Code: Business Casual

Compensation: $26-$30/hr.

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
