Job Title: Data Architect
Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Architect to lead the design, development, and management of our organization’s data architecture. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our data systems are well-integrated, secure, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives. You will leverage Master Data Management (MDM) principles to ensure the consistency, accuracy, and reliability of critical business data across various systems. The Data Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to implement data solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Design Data Architecture: Develop and implement comprehensive data architecture strategies to support business objectives. This includes creating data models, data flow diagrams, and technical architecture designs.
- Data Integration: Ensure the seamless integration of data from various sources into a unified data infrastructure, facilitating efficient data usage across the organization.
- Database and Cloud Solutions: Design, implement, and manage database systems, data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, including data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Data Quality and Performance: Develop and monitor standards for data quality and performance, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and reliable.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, software development, and business intelligence teams to ensure that data solutions meet organizational needs.
- Technology Roadmap: Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and make recommendations for new tools, platforms, and best practices to enhance the organization’s data capabilities.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and design specifications.
- Problem Solving: Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving data architecture issues, including system performance and data security concerns.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Architect or in a similar role, with strong expertise in database management, data warehousing, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and modern data architecture (e.g., data lakes, real-time data processing).
- Deep knowledge of data governance, security protocols, and relevant compliance standards.
- Strong understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration methodologies.
- Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead data initiatives.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, and data analytics platforms.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
