We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Import/Export industry, based in Monterey Park, California. We're seeking a Financial Analyst II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various financial tasks including month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and compliance with US Customs regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accurate and prompt execution of duty payments in accordance with US Customs regulations
• Conduct the monthly financial closure and generate reports using KWE financial systems
• Oversee the processing of credit card applications
• Contribute to the forecast preparation and upload forecasts into the KWE financial system
• Respond to financial reporting requests as needed
• Assist in the annual budgeting and auditing process
• Participate in the development of internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Support the credit review process
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations that may impact financial operations
• Utilize skills such as data mining techniques, accounting software systems, and CRM for effective financial management.

• Bachelor's Degree required

Minimum of 1 year experience in a financial analyst role OR 4 years of general accounting experience

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and CRM (AS400)

• Knowledge and understanding of accounting functions and accrual accounting

• Proven experience in auditing and budget processes

• Familiarity with AS400 system

• Expertise in using Excel formulas, pivot table, and VLOOKUP

• Solid understanding of general accounting and general ledger

• Ability to analyze financial statements and prepare financial statements

• Experience with financial statements consolidation

• Familiarity with month-end financial, month end close, and month-end reports

• Strong skills in analyzing variance and performing variance analysis
