Job Description: Data Warehouse Architect The Data Warehouse Architect is responsible for developing and supporting the collection and organization of information from different datasources. The architect will create or follow best practices for the collection, organization, and processing of data warehouse contents. The architect will also be responsible for the logical design of the data warehouse and its continual evolution. Collaborating with various business stakeholders, this role is vital for providing "one source of truth" to other developers and end users in our manufacturing environment. In this role, the Data Warehouse Architect will leverage a combination of business knowledge and technical skills to integrate functions, applications, tools, and information from various sources, aiming to improve data integrity and accessibility. Responsibilities include data collection, data normalization, assisting other developers with data source needs, facilitating secure and effective information exchange, and effectively communicating with users to achieve business goals. Key Responsibilities: Analyze requirements for complex business processes and technical problems, working with end users to define business data issues and devise effective solutions. Ensure a high level of customer service, align with the organization's expectations, and minimize production downtime while adhering to approved operating and capital budgets. Job Tasks and Required Skills: Develop the logical design of the data warehouse solution. Design interfaces between independent data source and the data warehouse. Develop and present best practices for communicating with the data warehouse, maintaining it, and continuing its development. Apply knowledge of relational databases (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, DB2, PostgreSQL, etc.) and reporting tool vendors (IBM, Microsoft, AWS, SAS). Utilize experience with object-oriented languages (.Net C, C++, Java, C#, or other compiled languages) and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, R, etc.). Use and understand the function of visual analytics platforms like Microsoft Power BI and experience with SSIS, SQL Analysis Services, and OLAP cubes. Troubleshoot production-related data issues, debug and implement changes. Assess user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost, time requirements, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities. Perform maintenance and system changes to improve efficiencies, performance, and reliability. Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify objectives. Research and document overall system descriptions, processes, data flows, and dependencies. Participate in after-hours on-call support for major incidents. Education Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience Requirements: 3 years of first-hand experience with a data warehouse solution is required. INDHP
