Our work depends on highly capable simulation administrator joining our team to performing system management and system administration functions supporting a distributed computing environment.

HOW A LVCG SIMULATIONS SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Responsible for performing system management and system administration functions supporting a distributed computing environment consisting of military simulations and Gaming systems and integrate these systems with Command and Control Systems / Mission Command Systems (MCS) in order to support training requirements for military units ranging from battalion to echelons above corps. Serve as a subject matter expert on designated Live/Virtual/Constructive/Gaming systems used to support training. Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. Set up simulation system administrator and service accounts. Participates in special projects as required. Have good communication skills, logical thinking, and interpersonal skills to resolve issues and develop feasible actionable actions. Capable of collaborating with highly skilled technical and training subject matter experts. Manages the day-to-day and exercise/event LVCG simulation operations for the MTC, which include but are not limited to NEF/NET of new or updated simulation systems and tools; maintenance and troubleshooting of current systems and tools; operation and monitoring of simulations during events; research, testing, and experimentation; and training and cross-training of simulations personnel. Capable of working within a small team dynamics applying technical skills essential for accomplishing multi-tasking for day-to-day and exercise/event simulation operations for the MTC.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: BA/BS in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training. Required Experience: 5+ years of related work experience; advanced knowledge of both information technology and Army simulations systems. Required Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Army War Fighting Functions and Army LVCG simulation technical and functional operations Security Clearance Level: This position requires a Secret Clearance Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms; Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support. Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software. Meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II minimum requirements or the minimum equivalent DoD 8140 DCWF requirements. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
