Junior AWS Cloud Engineer Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Junior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team and assist in the deployment, maintenance, and support of cloud-based infrastructure on AWS. In this role, you will collaborate with senior engineers and architects to help build, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Support:
Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing AWS resources, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPCs. Cost Optimization & Rightsizing:
Help monitor and analyze cloud costs, identify opportunities for rightsizing resources, and implement strategies to minimize expenses without sacrificing performance. Security & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with security best practices and assist in maintaining AWS security configurations, including IAM roles, security groups, and encryption. Documentation:
Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting steps. Automation:
Work on automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or scripting languages like Python. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1+ years of experience working with AWS or cloud technologies. Knowledge of core AWS services and concepts (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Tagging, Scripting). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience automating routine tasks. Experience with performance and log analysis. Familiarity with development tools and languages common in cloud environments is a bonus (C#, Python, Javascript, Terraform, CloudFormation, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification is highly preferable. Key Skills: Basic understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of cloud engineering. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
