DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MAINTENANCE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MAINTENANCE Oversees preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Identifies equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Evaluates equipment improvements; reviews detailed data; analyzes data and reports results. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoots and diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with equipment. Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and writes equipment maintenance procedures. Identifies and manages capital projects/improvements. Proven experience with CMMS, PM systems and RCM programs. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIRED FOR THE DEPARTMENT MANAGER - MAINTENANCE High School diploma required. 4-year college degree preferred or demonstrated equivalent experience as determined by department management. Three or more years' experience in a manufacturing, engineering, staff support position or other relatable role. Knowledge of SAP. Effectively coaches, gives performance feedback and provides development opportunities within or across areas or departments. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to evaluate and recommend new equipment, and process and maintenance technologies. Ability to operate a computer workstation. Ability to work in a production-oriented environment. Ability to direct and supervise others. Ability to objectively evaluate employees and their performance. Ability to train and develop others. Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and deadlines. Verbal and written communication skills. Problem solving skills. Project management skills.
