Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Studio Services team in Universal City, California! In this role, you will serve as a liaison between end users and IT, ensuring that business needs are accurately captured and translated into effective system functionalities. You will engage with end users to gather and document current business processes, assess how they utilize ERPs, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Your key responsibilities in this position include tracking changes, clarifying issues, and documenting detailed workflows and risks that the business may face. You will manage user acceptance testing for system changes and collaborate closely with IT and operations to implement necessary business process modifications.  You must have strong experience with various data mining and analysis methods and tools, enabling you to provide valuable insights and support to our end users. Your ability to train users and keep them informed about system updates will be essential to fostering a seamless operational environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end users and stakeholders, gathering ongoing feedback to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit and document detailed business requirements and process changes.
  • Create visual representations of current and future state business processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Work closely with IT and cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions, articulating business needs and ensuring effective communication.
  • Support the change management process by developing communication plans and training materials to facilitate smooth transitions during system updates or process changes.
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented changes and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, requirements, and system changes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
  • Identify potential risks associated with process changes and system implementations, working with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and executing test plans for User Acceptance Testing to ensure system changes meet business needs.
  • Manage and analyze business data across various applications, ensuring data accuracy and fidelity.

What You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain related field or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of related analyst and project experience (functional design and dashboarding) in an operations setting
  • 2+ years of experience in sprint planning, user requirements gathering and ticket prioritization
  • Demonstrated computer operating skills, including 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Power Automate, and virtual technologies such as Teams
  • 1+ years of experience with RTPro, Schedule All, TransWorks, Sphere, or fast learner of new system applications

Additional Requirements:

  • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
