Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities

Understand, properly set up and proficiently operate a variety of welding equipment e.g. SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, Oxy-Acetylene cutting, Plazma cutting, Arc Carbon Arc cutting, power tools, shop equipment, etc.

Working from drawings, plant layouts, or verbal orders, perform a wide variety of fabrication assignments, operating a variety of power equipment and machinery.

Working knowledge of welding symbols with the ability to weld to the specifications defined by those symbols.

Weld to proper dimensions and to meet general test requirements.

Work from drawings, job layouts, and sketches.

Fit, position, and weld a variety of items e.g. frames, bases, hoppers, covers, hoods, pipes, production service equipment and machinery, etc.

Chip and grind welds as required.

Perform a variety of duties requiring a cutting torch.

Safely and effectively operate all shop fabrication equipment.

Understand different types of steel and various preheat requirements.

Be capable of using Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look-up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations.

Mechanical proficiency and willingness to operate industrial machinery

Key Requirements:

18 years of age or older 

Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes 

Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation 

Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures 

Reliable attendance and work performance 

Successful completion of a drug screen and background check

High School diploma/GED required.

Required to achieve a passing score on technical skills test and hands-on assessment.

Must be capable of operating a forklift.

Must provide own tools.

Must pass State of Wisconsin structural welding certification, unlimited thickness, A-36 plate in all positions within 90-days of start date.

The salary range for this position is $27.02 - $35.30. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
