School Social Worker | Full-Time | Lapeer, MI

ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Lapeer, MI, to hire a Social Worker for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.

As a School Social Worker, you will be essential in supporting the social and emotional well-being of students. Your expertise and compassionate approach will help foster a positive, inclusive school environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

Job Description:

• Position: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Caseload: High School students
• Responsibilities:
  • Support students with mild to moderate mental health challenges
  • Administer behavioral screenings and brief assessments to evaluate the urgency and type of intervention needed
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary
  • Conduct brief emotional support and regulation interventions
  • Offer short-term individual and small group counseling services

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work
• LARA Master's licensure required
• Michigan Social Worker License/Certification: LCSW, LMSW, or LSW
• Previous school experience is required
• Must pass a drug screen and background check
