Position Summary: The Director of Site Operations will oversee all aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations at our client’s facility, ensuring optimal performance, regulatory compliance, and financial success. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of the production environment to meet both customer demands and corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Oversee the facility's financial performance by developing annual budgets, forecasting revenue, and managing operating and capital expenditures to meet corporate revenue and product cost goals.
Prepare and present financial, performance, and operational reports with recommendations to executive management.
Achieve all manufacturing and production goals to meet customer demands and drive facility production targets.
Lead, train, and develop business unit leaders to establish efficient shift schedules and production goals. Plan labor capacity and manage physical assets to ensure smooth operations.
Foster collaboration across departments—purchasing, production, and distribution—to ensure seamless teamwork and operational success.
Conduct performance reviews for direct reports, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities.
Partner with quality teams to review and revise SOPs while developing and implementing new procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Regularly inspect and monitor facility operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, vendors, contractors, and executive leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong expertise in engineering, financial management, regulatory compliance, production planning, project management, and organizational leadership.
Proficiency in computer applications, financial analysis, report writing, and production planning systems.
Excellent planning, communication, leadership, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and cultures while fostering motivation and collaboration.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 10 years in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment.
Proven experience in executive management, manufacturing oversight, project management, regulatory compliance, and engineering.
