Overview: Plasser American, a leading multi-business unit industrial manufacturing company in the railroad industry specialized in low volume, high product mix environment, is seeking a highly experienced Master Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing production schedules and ensuring efficient resource allocation across diverse business units. This role will also require the establishment of new processes to serve the needs of multiple business units efficiently and unbiased. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules for multiple business units, considering low volume and high product mix requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and ensure alignment between production schedules and business objectives. Utilize advanced planning techniques to optimize resource utilization, minimize lead times, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency. Proactively identify and address scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and potential issues, implementing solutions to ensure on-time delivery. Leverage Infor LN ERP system expertise to integrate scheduling processes seamlessly, ensuring accurate data management and reporting. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling and production, providing regular reports and insights to management. Continuously evaluate and refine scheduling strategies to adapt to changing business needs and market dynamics. Lead and facilitate communication between production, procurement, and other relevant departments to maintain a synchronized and collaborative workflow. Mentor and guide junior scheduling staff, sharing best practices and contributing to professional development. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the company's scheduling processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Master Scheduler role within a multi-business unit industrial manufacturing setting. Extensive knowledge and proficiency in working with the Infor LN ERP system. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively. In-depth understanding of low volume, high product mix manufacturing processes. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to production scheduling.
