Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16. RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Ratios: 1:3-4. Shift: Nights 36 or 48 hours. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48. 13 Weeks Float Requirement: will float to anywhere a PCU nurse can float- ie. ED-IP, medical, surgical, or cardiac floors. May float to ICU to take a PCU appropriate assignment. Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule period ** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We are a mix of medical, cardiac, surgical, trauma patients. SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Stepdown experience should be required but Prefer some ICU experience as PCU at NHRMC is very similar to some rural ICUs level of care. Candidates need ventilator experience and competent in managing and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Self scheduling UNIT ORIENTATION: 40 hours SCRUBS: Navy and White INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY: Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting. Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years Traveler Experience: REQUIRED Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Telemetry, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions ***Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty*** *storm team coverage required.
