Responsibilities
Coordinates work and oversees assigned staff of admitting and patient business services. Maximizes the effectiveness of Legacy’s admitting, patient accounts, customer service, billing, financial, payment posting, cash reconciliation and collection services to ensure LHS financial viability and customer service. Develops and oversees staff training programs and procedures to ensure staff competency relating to specific job functions as well as regulatory and Joint Commission compliance. Assists designated manager in the day-to-day operations of assigned area. Provides input into budget. Develops and implements changes to workflow and work enhancements. Develops and oversees all department QA & QP&M activities.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Five years experience in Admitting and Patient Business Services in a health care environment including experience in admitting, insurance verification, billing, collections, electronic billing systems, and customer relations. Skills: Proven ability to oversee staff. Proven ability in QP&M and CQI techniques. Proven ability to develop training programs, provide training and oversee the training process. Demonstrated initiative. Proven ability to analyze, change, and enhance workflow and work processes. Effective verbal and written skills. Independently schedules meetings and maintains daily and monthly routines. Ability to develop and implement goals and objectives for self and others.
