The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to join the Food & Beverage Team!
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.
The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.
* * Classification: Full-Time
* Shift: Various - must have availability to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
* Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

In this role, you will be overseeing Monarch Bay Beach Club, the resort's beach front bar. You will be managing a team of 35 Front of House Team Members and reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager. At least 1 year of supervisory / management experience is required. Experience in luxury hotels and strong beverage knowledge is a plus.
As our Food & Beverage Manager, you are responsible for managing restaurant operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
A Food & Beverage Manager will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
* Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, counsels, disciplines and participates in the
evaluation of restaurant staff employees for the efficient operation of the restaurant.
* Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments.
* Responsible for ensuring that restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for
guests and employees. Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in working order.
* Visually inspects and takes corrective action to ensure that facilities in restaurant look
appealing and attractive to guests. Provides guidance for improvement and implements
necessary adjustments. Oversees work orders to ensure repairs and maintenance of facility
are completed on a timely basis.
* Manages and monitors product quality and guest satisfaction in restaurant. Responsible for
ensuring that food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to guest specifications.
* Moves throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take corrective action to
ensure food quality and service standards are met.
* Provides guidance for improvement and implements necessary adjustments.
* Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet. Investigates and resolves
guest complaints in a timely manner.
* Participates in marketing efforts of restaurants, creates menu ideas, surveys competition
and reports food trends and assists in preparation of specials.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the
restaurant as well as all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
