The Red Gate Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support DARPA's Adaptive Capabilities Office (ACO). The ACO collaborates with military services to develop innovative solutions for critical national security challenges. In this role, you will contribute to the creation and vetting of new architectural solutions combining emerging technologies and advanced warfighting constructs. Your work will involve modeling, simulation, and experimentation to establish new doctrines, concepts of operations, and technologies for joint, highly integrated capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, implement, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, including Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor cybersecurity measures to enhance cyber defense and maintain a resilient network.
- Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities, propose remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies, and ensure appropriate security controls.
- Respond to security breaches, re-establish protections, and generate required reports.
- Active TS/SCI
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science.
- Information Assurance Management (IAM), Information Assurance Technical (IAT), or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I certification per DoD 8570.1M.
- Three (3) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.
- At least three (3) years, the individual supported research and development (R&D) DoD programs.
- Demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.
- Demonstrated ability of make decisions independently on research and development (R&D) engineering problems and methods, and of resolve important questions and of plan and coordinate work.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices for each lead of the four functional areas (Intelligence and Mission Capabilities, Architecture, Applications, and Mission Integration).
- At least three (3) years of experience working in DARPA or similar organization is highly desirable.
