KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! The Product Line Intern is responsible for assisting the Product Line team with aspects of the asset evaluation process, including data entry, and support with building financial models that establish the buy price, expected revenue, and gross profit for projects. The position will be responsible for analysis of data, database maintenance, and assisting the team in aspects system integration. 20-25 hours per week.

Your role will take you to new heights, as you’ll be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:

  • Works directly with Sales, Product Line, and Repairs to clearly understand backlog and effectively communicate delivery schedule to the sales team
  • Supports the Product Line team
  • Issues purchase orders for material purchased by the Product Line team.
  • Establishes target pricing for all material that will lead to a maximization of gross profit while still achieving established turns.
  • Evaluates and identifies opportunities to sell aging inventory.
  • Maintains and updates market intelligence that includes pricing/value of parts.
  • Works with Operations, Repairs, and Product Line to upload inventory from teardowns.
  • Works with Product Line to identify components that need to be routed for repair.
  • Becomes an expert in both the open sales order and repair order reports as the basis for tracking backlog.
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product and market information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule for both purchase and repair vendors.
  • Acts as the liaison between Repairs and Product Line
  • Performs any other requests or duties as assigned by management.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Knowledge of aircrafts components, parts, and assets
  • Strong computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong Excel skills preferred (Vlookups/Xlookups, if statements, pivot tables)
  • Strong skills in presenting information and effective communication
  • Skill in verbal and written communication
  • Skill in problem solving and ability to find solutions under pressure
  • Ability to review orders and documents for accuracy, organize related material, and track status of sales, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with partners, team members, management, and others
  • Ability to be polite, considerate, and an effective communicator in stressful situations
  • Ability to set goals and determine intermediary steps to achieve results and determined objectives
  • Ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated, and multitask in stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize while utilizing problem solving skills when dealing with unforeseen circumstances
  • Ability to research and analyze information to make recommendations
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and a team-driven attitude
  • High School diploma required
  • Secondary education (college) experience in finance, economics, or business administration preferred
  • Data analysis experience preferred
  • Aviation industry experience a plus
