Job Description
We’re looking for a Vice President, Global Product Marketing to join Procore’s global marketing team. The VP, Global Product Marketing will be responsible for leading and developing the Go-To-Market strategy, positioning, messaging, pricing & monetization, and product launches that effectively differentiates Procore in the market. This leader will formulate and communicate the strategic vision for how the Procore platform demonstrates value and ROI for construction professionals and will work with cross-functional collaborators to ensure this vision is amplified across all channels.
This role will work in close proximity to the product and technology organization to ensure effective planning, communication and execution of the overall product marketing strategy. This executive will need to be technically oriented, as well as an effective and inspiring storyteller.
As the leader of this team, you’ll need to be both a product and market expert who develops product and solution positioning and messaging while defining the target buyer segments across various audiences and the global go to market motion. You will need to provide competitive intel and positioning that consistently informs product launch plans that drive awareness, preference, purchase, adoption, and growth whilst enabling supporting teams to execute revenue-focused go-to-market strategies.
This position will be based in our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What You’ll Do:
Define and build the Global Product Marketing Strategy
Drive product marketing direction for Procore, collaborating with other marketing functions such as growth and integrated marketing, corporate marketing, and content marketing
Develop and own product positioning, messaging and value propositions based on customer challenges that differentiate Procore in the marketplace
Craft engaging audience-specific content, including case studies, solution briefs, web content, presentations, data sheets, messaging documents, pitch decks, blogs and whitepapers that can be utilized globally
Conduct ROI/TCO analysis and develop outcome based content to help customers make the business case for Procore
Define the go-to-market plays working closely with product, sales, and marketing counterparts to define the target audiences, personas and messaging required to reach them effectively
Develop go-to-market strategies based on analysis of total addressable market by region, segment and audiences
Effectively integrate Product Marketing requirements into the product lifecycle framework
Be a Market, Customer and Industry expert
Stay abreast of industry trends and educate customers on the value Procore can provide to support their evolving needs
Understand market trends, customer requirements, usage and buying behavior, and the partner ecosystem to better identify market opportunities and customer demand for the Procore platform
Build meaningful relationships with customers. You will spend at least 30% of your time meeting with customers
Be a strategic partner to supporting teams
Provide input into product roadmap, corporate strategy, and pricing based on market, customer research and competitive findings
Provide input about regional specific product priorities and goals to Product Management
Use customer, partner and competitive research to influence product strategy and drive effective messaging
Work closely with sales and enablement leadership to train the field on product positioning, pitches
Be a best in class Product Marketing Leader
Inspire, motivate and grow a global team of Product Marketers
Build a world class, modern Product Marketing team that has established frameworks for how to launch products and solutions for ultimate impact
Define team’s Product Marketing strategy and OKR’s to build and measure team results. Ensure that those are communicated and visible across the company and progress is shared regularly
Manage the team’s budget and hiring plans across the department
What You’ll Need:
15+ years of experience in product marketing and related marketing functions in $1B+ B2B software companies
10+ years of management experience, with an emphasis on leadership, and engaging global and local stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, marketing, business, or related area; MBA is a plus
Experience building trusted relationships with executive sponsors and end users.
Experience with enterprise Software-as-a-Service offerings ideally building marketing strategies to reach CIO, CTO, & CEO personas
Experience supporting an Integrated GTM motion that includes sales, channel and services partners, strategic alliances and technology ecosystems
Proven track record in building, getting buy-in and executing marketing plans and staying focused on “getting it done” in a fast-moving environment
Demonstrated experience building credibility and delivering results for product teams, sales teams and customers
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills to explain and translate complex technology concepts into simple, intuitive and inspiring communications.
Uses data to measure results and inform decision making and Product Marketing strategy development
Experience and comfort with regular presentations to C-Suite and Board
Experience building best in class Global Product Marketing teams
Proven track record for identifying, nurturing and growing marketing talent
Additional Information
Base Pay Range $260,080 - $357,610. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
