We are seeking a Director of Product Marketing, a mid-level leader reporting directly to our Chief Marketing Officer. You will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our learning platform by leading all aspects of product marketing – including market and competitive analysis, product positioning and messaging, product launch and sales enablement. You will get to build our Product Marketing capability from the ground up. This is a new function within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft product positioning and messaging that resonates with target customers and differentiates our offerings in the competitive landscape.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs and incorporate insights into positioning strategies.
- Lead efforts to identify and understand key buyer personas within our target market segments, including HR and Talent Leaders, Educators and IT Leaders.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
- Oversee end-to-end product launch strategy and execution, ensuring successful go-to-market plans for new product releases and feature updates.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of product launches and iterate on strategies for future releases.
- Partner with Rev Ops and sales leadership to develop and deliver sales training, including product collateral, presentations, and training resources, to empower the sales team to effectively communicate product value propositions and overcome objections.
- Monitor sales performance and customer feedback to refine our sales enablement and selling efforts.
- Your KPIs will focus on Product Awareness and Conversion (Product Page Visits, Conversions, Trials), Product Sales Enablement and Tool Delivery, and Market Segmentation and Targeting Recommendation Delivery
What’ll You need (Requirements)
- 10 years of increasing scope of Product Marketing experience.
- Experience doing Product Marketing for a B2B SaaS company, ideally in the HR or Ed Tech space.
- Proven track record of success in crafting differentiated and compelling product positioning and messaging, leading product launches and understanding buying persona needs.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making and measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build consensus.
