The Product Owner will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and the business, to drive the development and implementation of technology solutions that enhance the user experience and optimize operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of retail, customer behaviors, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. The Product Owner reports to the Product Management Director - Stores & Marketing.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Product Owner to join our Product Management team. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and the business, to drive the development and implementation of technology solutions that enhance the user experience and optimize operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of retail, customer behaviors, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. The Product Owner reports to the Product Management Director - Stores & Marketing.
Responsibilities Include:
Product Roadmap:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of current business processes and systems to create and execute elements of the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Systems Architects, and stakeholders to define, refine, and prioritize new product features and enhancements.
- Create, manage, and refine the product backlog, ensuring prioritization based on business value and customer needs.
- Collaborate with Software Development Teams to define sprint plans, prioritize the sprint backlog, and ensure the highest-value features are delivered.
- Work closely with teams daily to provide direction on work items, enablers, and user stories.
- Author and refine user stories, incorporating detailed acceptance criteria that cover customer use cases, edge cases, dependencies, and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure that all user stories, acceptance criteria, and development tasks are consistently aligned with the process documentation developed by business analysts.
- Collaborate with business analysts to ensure the documentation is complete, accurate, and sufficient to guide development.
- Collaborate with the development team to estimate user stories and ensure alignment with the product roadmap.
- Validate and formally accept completed work, ensuring it meets the defined acceptance criteria.
- Drive and support user acceptance testing (UAT) with business and technology teams.
- Participate in sprint demos and showcases to ensure product functionality meets the expected outcomes.
- Review test plans, automated testing outputs, and contribute to manual testing efforts as necessary to ensure quality.
- Keep stakeholders informed of product status and progress, seeking feedback throughout the development process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify solutions that meet business requirements and maximize the value of the product.
- Act as a liaison with business teams to ensure the smooth launch of new features and assist in resolving roadblocks.
- Use retrospectives and data-driven insights to improve processes, product health, and team performance.
- Educate and evangelize product capabilities to other teams, ensuring they understand how to leverage the platform's features.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, adapting processes as necessary.
- Base Salary Range: $100,00 - $125,000

- Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with a proven track record of leading development teams to build and ship application software.
- Experience working in a Scrum and/or Agile team within complex software development environments.
- Proficiency in creating and managing Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks in tools such as Azure Dev Ops (ADO).
- Proven ability to develop business/product proposal documents, portfolio documents, and clear communication for varied audiences.
- Experience driving the full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, and executing pre/post-launch tasks.
- Strong understanding of business requirements elicitation for specific programs and projects.
- Experience delivering Web application projects - knowledge of front-end/UI, middleware and backend ERP applications.
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and capability to work independently or in close team environments.
