We are looking for a strong Product Owner responsible for the development, integration and usability of custom and third-party systems utilized by DSG Regional Sports Networks (RSNs). Reporting to the Director, Business Applications, this role will be involved in developing and maintaining the product backlog for detailed requirements, champion Agile methodology (where applicable) to continually develop the application(s) and working with Analyst and Product Manager to turn the product vision into deliverables.
This is a remote-friendly position.
What you will do:
The base salary compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.

What you will do:
- Manage and perform day-to-day product owner activities including the definition of product specifications, requirements, user stories, high level technical and user experience flows.
- Collaborate effectively with PM in building, managing and refining product backlog through prioritization and negotiation with key stakeholders based on business value and/or ROI.
- Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories and acceptance test criteria.
- Prioritize and maintain sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
- Understanding and solutioning customer/business pain points and validate that recommended solutions align with business goals and objectives by working closely with architecture, security, delivery team and other cross functional teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, align with their product roadmaps.
- Support development, assign tasks and monitor the progress of activities in the sprint including facilitating sprint planning, sprint review, sprint demo and accepting stories for deployment.
- Collaborating effectively with cross functional teams as needed to ensure successful delivery of product.
- Gathering feedback from business on a regular basis and evaluating the feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain understanding of the technical aspects of the product, identify potential risks and create mitigation plans.
- Lead product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
- Foster transparency by communicating progress and updates to stakeholders on a regular cadence.
- Create/help with documentation and training materials for internal use and customer facing support.
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as Product Owner.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience as a business or systems analyst.
- Experience utilizing Azure DevOps, JIRA or similar tools to manage application lifecycle, maintain product backlogs and other associated artifacts.
- Proven experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, user story writing and testing.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) including lean and agile methodologies, familiarity with Kanban, Confluence, Trello etc.
- Proficiency in data analysis. Gather, review, and analyze business and industry data and other key metrics using data analytics tools.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of interfaces, API's, Swagger API framework and experience building, consuming, documenting or supporting web API's.
- Proficiency with SQL - Ability to query and analyze complex data and troubleshoot.
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, and/or Bootstrap.
- Experience managing a product lifecycle from inception to completion and understanding business value related to features.
- Must be customer focused, results oriented and able to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders.
- Experience in the role of liaison between Business/Stakeholders and technical/development teams.
- Must have strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts and considerations to different sets of audience.
- Must have strong analytical thinking/problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Best practices Admin support of Microsoft Azure DevOps for Product Management use.
- Familiarity of SAFe Agile concepts and/or use
- Knowledge of Data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.
