Location: Lodi, CA, USA

Shift: Night Shift/36-48 hours

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Salary: $40 to $50 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical/Surgical unit in Lodi. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses, including pneumonia, urinary tract infections, post-operative care, pain management, fractures, and dementia.
  • Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1:6 or less during the Night shift, with occasional adjustments based on acuity and staffing.
  • Monitor and assess patients through vital signs checks, ambulation assistance, and support with daily living activities.
  • Titrate intravenous drips as needed, primarily using Cardizem, while refreshing knowledge of policies and procedures due to infrequent use.
  • Collaborate with the Charge Nurse for floor support; Charge Nurse typically does not take an assignment but covers the ER as needed.
  • Work alongside one patient care technician each shift to assist with non-invasive duties such as vital signs and patient rounding.
  • Administer respiratory treatments and educate patients on their care; manage breathing treatments and chest physiotherapy as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Current RN licensure in California with required certifications;
  • BLS certification is required;
  • ACLS .
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
