In Abbott's Heart Failure (HF) business, we're developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.As the Material Handler 1, you will be responsible for process execution, material movement, and inventory control within the Warehouse, Kitting, Shipping & Receiving Departments. Perform manual duties and ERP system (SAP) transactions ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with Quality and regulatory requirements. Assists with continuous improvement projects and offers innovative & practical solutions to improve day-to-day operations.What You'll Work OnReceiving -Physical execution and SAP system receipts of incoming raw materials, components, consumables, and sub-assemblies utilizing a computer and scanner.Identify, count, label, and transfer materials to receiving inspection and cross-functional departments.Put-Aways - Transfer and stock released materials into warehouse ensuring location accuracy and storage requirements.Cycle Counting - Perform inventory cycle counts by adhering to cycle count schedule. Goal: ≥98% Inv AccuracyIdentify and correct root causes of inventory errors.Ensure that the Warehouse is neat, clean, and organized at all times.Kitting - Fulfill work orders by picking of raw materials, components, & sub-assemblies to satisfy production scheduling requirements.Shipping -Maintains a safe and professional work environment.Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, cross functional/cross divisional collaboration and goal planning and execution.Ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner with peers, management, and all other department personnel.Learn and apply 5S & Lean PrincipalsLooking for strong Microsoft Excel skills and Power BI experience to assist in monitoring KPI's and reporting metrics such as, Inventory Accuracy & On-Time/In-Full.Performs other duties and tasks as needed upon request.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma2 or more years of experience in a material handler role - Understands warehouse & inventory mgmt. conceptsStrong computer skills - MS Word, MS Excel, MS OutlookExperience working in highly regulated industry such as Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, etc.The ability to analyze metrics via Excel, Power BI, and Warehouse Management SystemsAbility to interact with peers and cross-functional team members in a positive and professional mannerPreferred QualificationsSAP experience strongly preferredApply NowLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.comFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
