Amazon's Legal Department is looking for an exceptional lawyer to support our rapidly growing and evolving Stores business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will work directly with business partners on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, providing day-to-day advice, managing corporate governance, negotiating and advising on new and existing commercial relationships, handling government inquiries, and advising on Saudi Arabian laws and regulations in a range of contexts.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, able to develop innovative and creative legal solutions, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

This position will be located in Riyadh. Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.

  1. Law degree (J.D., LLB or equivalent) from a leading university and/or law school is required.
  2. 3-5 years of post-qualification legal experience practicing corporate and/or commercial law, preferably at an international law firm in Saudi Arabia.
  3. Admitted to practice law in KSA. Candidates admitted in other jurisdictions with sound knowledge and expertise of KSA may be considered.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in advising senior executives of an organization.
  5. Native or full professional Arabic language proficiency (reviewing, drafting documents and conducting meetings).
  6. Saudi Arabian nationals preferred.
  7. Experience in corporate governance.
  8. Experience in technology and commercial transactions.
  9. Good business judgment, especially in ambiguous situations.
  10. Hands-on project management experience and ability to independently manage a large number of simultaneous mission-critical projects.
  11. Experience working across various stakeholder teams.
