Role: Senior Big Data Architect

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 3 months

Another requirement should be a solid understanding of traditional DW/BI environments and how to migrate them to a Cloudera Hadoop based data lake environment.

 

Big Data Architect Skills

  • Experience in working with Cloudera Big Data / data lake developments projects
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop distributions
  • Demonstrated work experience with distributed, scalable Big Data programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills. Clear focus under pressure.
  • Good understanding and experience on Spark, Scala, HDFS, HIVE, Impala
  • Good understanding of Talend, TAC job server configurations, developing jobs in talend, data profiling, analysis.
  • Experience in building complex distributed modern data platforms
  • Experience with DATA ingestion/ other ETL tools sqoop etc.
  • Able to benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them;
  • Able to help program and project managers in the design, planning and governance of implementing projects in Big Data
  • Serves as an expert consultant to senior IT leadership on Data architecture and enterprise data initiatives
  • Strong experience/exposure across the entire data landscape with the ability to extend traditional data architecture techniques to include big data components. This includes Data Strategy and Architecture development, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Metadata management, Data Integration/ingestion, Data Quality management, Data modeling, Data warehousing, Business Intelligence and advanced Analytics
  • Experience with BIRST is preferred
  • Must be Cloudera Hadoop Developer Certified
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure
