LHH is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our client’s accounting department. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, including data entry, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, enjoys working with numbers, and has a keen eye for detail.

The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Coordinate with auditors to facilitate the audit process and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting procedures and controls to enhance financial reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and improve overall efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
