If so, we have the position for you We are seeking newly-graduated engineers to help us develop the required performance and designs of sophisticated combat and weapon systems. Our new staff members will work in fields such as sensors, communications, electronic warfare and combat systems to provide a robust threat defense capability for our customers. In joining us, you'll be on the forefront of many innovative new solutions and ideas We use a wide variety of systems engineering tools and simulations to advance the understanding of sensor, communication and combat system performance. In doing so, you will learn how to employ digital engineering goals, practices and tools from the beginning to define and influence new system requirements. We are a team of systems and software engineers that apply systems engineering to enable the full life-cycle development of emerging system-of-systems capabilities. We provide international system support and excel in traditional and model-based systems engineering, digital engineering, systems analysis and integration, and verification and validation. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Math, or other related technical degree. Are willing and able to travel on a limited basis. Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) or modelling and simulation (M&S) Proficiency in using a scripting language like Python or MATLAB for system analysis. Experience with data collection and analysis. Experience working in small groups within an agile framework is very helpful. Why work at APL? The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
