Job Details:
As a Maintenance Supervisor for our 2nd shift, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on position where you will lead a team of skilled maintenance technicians to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our manufacturing plant. With your expertise in troubleshooting, electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, automation, and scheduling, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing machinery and equipment. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can handle the pressure of ensuring that our manufacturing operations run without interruptions.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the activities of the maintenance team on the 2nd shift, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
2. Handle troubleshooting for all machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
3. Manage maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment is in optimal working order and any required repairs or replacements are carried out in a timely manner.
4. Provide technical expertise in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and automation.
5. Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
6. Train and mentor maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Liaise with other departments and management to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
8. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven expertise in troubleshooting, electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and automation.
3. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing a high-performing team.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
5. Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and best practices.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with staff at all levels of the organization.
7. Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling and reporting.
8. A relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience.
9. A commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
10. Ability to work the 2nd shift and be on-call for emergencies.
