Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Education Executive based in the Los Angeles area that will drive results in retail stores while being a true brand advocate of REFY. The Sales and Education Executive will be responsible for achieving a targeted retail sales performance within their assigned territory by implementing sales and educational training strategies and executing best in class events. We are looking for a candidate that is an exceptional leader with passion for the beauty industry, has a growth mindset and the ability to build strong retailer partnerships and consumer connections. This role will manage a team of makeup artists which will require strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment. This position will have a significant impact on our retail sales performance and support our in-store events strategy. The role is part of a broader field-based team and reports into the Director of Field, Sales and Education- US. The role is to support the Sephora business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work cross-functionally with partners and retail store management in the proper planning and execution of product launches, promotions, and special events. Recruit, hire, train, and lead a team of freelance makeup artists to represent REFY. Follow corporate guidelines and maintain T/E expenses within the assigned Freelance and T&E budget. Accountable for achieving monthly and quarterly sales goals, adopting a creative approach to achieving these. Maximize productivity and rank in supported doors by partnering with in-store teams looking at market-specific needs by door. Drive strong results across doors in assigned territory through delivery of robust events and training. Work closely with Director of Field, Sales and Education in providing weekly reporting, sharing inventory challenges and driving opportunities across doors. Foster professional, dynamic relationships with all levels of retailer employees including leadership through education and in-store side by side selling. Partner with the Education Department in the training and development of Beauty Advisors using unified brand voice, ensuring they are well-versed in brand messaging, differentiation and assortment. Deliver brand training to Sephora teams on selling, product knowledge, service experiences of the brand. Partner on developing and implementing event activation programs to increase brand presence in doors and ensure proper execution. Support larger-scale event activations and training experiences as directed by the UK-based brand marketing team. Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with internal and external business partners. Ability to think outside the box to identify creative opportunities to increase brand awareness in-store and put REFY front and center of activity. Maintain a consistent calendar of visiting stores on peak days during high traffic hours. Stewardship of ensuring REFY retail standards are constantly maintained on gondolas, shelves and tester units. Resolve discrepancies at the store level, or by elevating as necessary. Ensure inventory optimization through proper store and head office communication. Provide insight on competitive trends, assortment needs and best practices. Maintain individual in-store bookings via Sephora's Happening Now system.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Candidates must be based in the Los Angeles area. Please note that applications from individuals living outside of this vicinity may not be considered. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays is required (Tuesday- Saturday schedule with one weekly office day). EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3-5 years of cosmetic sales experience in an account executive or management role. Makeup artistry experience and skincare knowledge required. Experience or exposure to working with Sephora. Proven success in achieving personal and territory sales goals. Self-starter that is solution-minded, detail-oriented with high level of energy and motivation. Experience leading successful cosmetic events and recruiting, managing, and developing freelance teams. SKILLS

Strategic thinker that is solution-minded and demonstrates adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills; written, verbal and presentation. Ability to work collaboratively and build positive & effective business partnerships. Passion for public speaking and ability to inspire and motivate teams. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel. Budget management skills. TRAVEL

Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time. Open to working peak traffic times including nights and weekends. Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation. Passport required for international business travel.
