About the Role As the Director of Operations for our seasonal business, you will oversee the performance of four unique and vibrant locations in Healy, Alaska, and just outside Denali National Park. We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced leader who can: Lead with Vision:
Oversee the successful operation of multiple venues, ensuring a seamless guest experience while driving business performance. Manage Seasonal Transitions:
Develop and execute strategies to prepare for and navigate the unique challenges of seasonal peaks, including staffing, inventory, and logistics. Inspire Teams:
Build, lead, and motivate a diverse team of managers and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Drive Operational Excellence:
Implement and maintain efficient systems and processes to optimize operations, manage budgets, and achieve financial targets. Ensure Quality:
Uphold and enhance our standards of service, food, and beverage to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Adapt to Challenges:
Proactively identify and solve problems, making quick and effective decisions in a high-pressure environment. Focus on Growth:

A celebrated brewery and restaurant offering locally inspired cuisine and craft beers. This venue captures the spirit of Alaska with its welcoming atmosphere, live events, and iconic Bus 142, made famous by

A favorite for both locals and visitors, this restaurant combines a casual setting with a menu of handcrafted pizzas and hearty comfort food, perfect for fueling adventures in Denali. The Overlook Restaurant:
A refined dining experience featuring panoramic views of Denali National Park. Known for its elevated cuisine and exceptional service, it’s a premier choice for those seeking a memorable culinary journey. The Crows Nest Cabins:
Rustic and charming accommodations nestled near Denali, offering guests a cozy retreat with stunning natural surroundings. This property requires a balance of hospitality and operational efficiency to create a world-class guest experience. About You You’re a seasoned leader with a passion for the fast-paced, dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. You thrive in managing seasonal operations, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution. Oversee operations of multiple locations. Lead, mentor, and develop restaurant managers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Implement and manage operational policies and procedures across locations. Ensure all locations adhere to company standards and policies.
Develop and manage budgets for multiple locations. Analyze financial performance and implement strategies for improvement. Ensure cost-effective operations and maintain financial sustainability. Prepare and present financial reports to upper management. Operational Excellence:
Ensure each location delivers high-quality service and product consistency. Implement and monitor quality control measures. Collaborate with the brewing team to ensure alignment with company standards. Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Systems Management:
Utilize ADP for payroll and HR management. Manage Toast for POS and restaurant operations. Use Teamworks for staff scheduling and communication.
Customer and Community Relations:
Foster strong relationships with customers and the community.
Staff Development and Training:
Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff. Implement training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable and skilled. Direct the employee assessment process and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of high-level leadership experience in the restaurant industry. Proven experience managing multiple locations. Strong financial literacy and experience in budgeting and financial analysis. Experience with ADP, Toast, and Teamworks systems is preferred. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of restaurant operations and industry trends. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field; advanced degree is a plus. Key Skills: Proven leadership and management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Familiarity with HR and payroll systems (ADP).
