Walla Walla , with a vibrant and beautiful tree-lined campus serving approximately 1,500 students. POSITION PURPOSE Under the general supervision of the AVP of Facilities Services, the Director of Facilities Operations (DFO) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of custodial, grounds, and building maintenance activities for various facilities, including on/off campus and leased properties. The DFO participates in policy development, responds to service inquiries, and supervises administrative and technical/support staff. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Plan, organize, maintain, and manage the operations and reliability of college facilities and general infrastructure systems. Supervise managers for departments in maintenance, grounds, custodial, and project management. Develop, recommend, and administer policies, procedures, and processes for custodial, grounds, and building maintenance operations. Administer procurement and fiscal management activities associated with building operations. Troubleshoot and respond to after-hour issues regarding operational aspects of the facilities. Monitor the safety and accessibility of the College and its facilities.
