SAP Basis Administrator

Optomi, in partnership with an industry-leading audit, consulting, tax, and advisory service, is searching for a SAP BASIS and HANA Administrator to join their client. This role involves day-to-day support of the S/4HANA program and will require deep expertise in SAP technical planning, installations, configurations, and migrations, along with a high degree of technical and analytical skills. Experience of the right candidate: 7+ years as an SAP BASIS & HANA Administrator, with extensive experience in SAP HANA and S/4 HANA landscapes. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL programming, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Deep familiarity with SAP BASIS tools and technologies, including BRTOOLS for space management. Advanced knowledge in SAP HANA architecture, landscape design, installation, performance tuning, and system integration. Hands-on experience in SLT, SAP Data Services, and SAP archiving. Understanding of hardware, Linux OS, and network connectivity for SAP environments. Certifications:

SAP S/4 HANA and OS/DB Migration certification preferred. Skills:

Proficient in creating operational procedures and technical documentation. Responsibilities of the right candidate: Perform SAP BASIS tasks including technical planning, installations, and configurations for SAP S/4 HANA, FIORI, SLT, SOLMAN, SAP Router, and more. Manage upgrades, OS/DB migrations, Unicode conversions, SSO configurations, and SSL certificate installations. Provide regular maintenance, including applying support packages, kernel patch upgrades, TMS configuration, transport administration, and managing operation modes and background jobs. Execute SAP Backup and Recovery processes; ensure High Availability and Disaster Recovery of SAP HANA. Lead implementation and conversion for S/4HANA solutions, including system migrations using DMO tools. Develop and troubleshoot SQL scripts, optimize stored procedures, and resolve performance issues. Integrate SAP HANA with different remote systems; configure remote access options. Conduct SAP data archiving and sizing, utilizing tools like SAP Quick Sizer. Optimize system performance using SQL traces, Early Watch configuration, and performance impact analysis. Automate SAP BASIS tasks using development and scripting techniques. Create and maintain detailed operational procedures and Adobe standard documentation. Provide on-call support during weekdays and weekends, as scheduled.
