Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Boston (Hybrid)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design and manage our infrastructure systems in both public and private clouds. The role involves handling escalations, automating processes, and collaborating with various technology teams to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve storage/VMware/server hardware escalations.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 storage support.
  • Automate recurring issue resolutions.
  • Design and architect storage infrastructure.
  • Oversee storage environments (NetApp, Cisco, Pure) and monitor solutions.
  • Configure and maintain Cloud Volumes ONTAP and Azure NetApp Files.
  • Manage datacenter server and storage hardware, VMware, and Cisco environments.
  • Conduct Proof of Concepts and suggest improvements.
  • Manage Cisco UCS hardware lifecycle and firmware.
  • Create architecture artifacts and maintain technology inventory.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in NetApp and Pure Storage systems, Cisco MDS switches.
  • Experience with multi-protocol environments and integration with VMware and Cisco.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure design, particularly Cisco UCS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in Shell Scripting (e.g., Bash) or Python.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and interact with technical and business users.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with public cloud (Azure).
  • Scripting with Bash, PowerShell, REST, Python.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in multi-datacenter environments.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (System Center, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
  • Strong documentation and SOP writing skills.
  • Knowledge of application virtualization/delivery systems.
  • Experience with monitoring methodologies and infrastructure as code techniques (Azure DevOps).
