As an Engineer II, supporting our Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) Team, you will be trusted to serve as MS&T product steward for product life-cycle management of product line(s) leading related projects. This position may also support and/or lead technical transfer projects that either transfer production into our facility or into another facility as required at Houston, Texas US.

As an Engineer II, supporting our Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) Team, you will be trusted to serve as MS&T product steward for product life-cycle management of product line(s) leading related projects. This position may also support and/or lead technical transfer projects that either transfer production into our facility or into another facility as required at Houston, Texas US.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Leading projects centered on cost reductions, business continuity, quality improvements, process/product transfers between manufacturing sites, and/or support of R&D activities.
- Qualifying components, tooling, equipment, and assembly processes partnering with Procurement, Suppliers, and Manufacturing Engineering as required to assure capacity and improve business continuity.
- Supplier evaluation/qualification.
- Qualifying alternate materials and/or components for either risk mitigation, cost improvement, or because of obsolescence.
- Assuring assembly process is developed and documented.
- Assuring Bill of Materials (BOMs) are entered and maintained correctly. Also addressing requests from other departments related to BOM's and components. Confirming product costs are accurate and rolled.
- Addressing any component or product quality issue assigned, determining root cause and completing corrective action. Investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective action.
- Creating risk assessments related for products as requested.
- Managing product labeling and handling prototype builds.
- Conducting Production Readiness Review for completed projects as applicable.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Work hours: Monday through Friday / 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%

- Master of Science degree in Engineering or scientific field.
- 2 years' experience in engineering, scientific R&D, operations, or quality engineering in medical device/pharma industry and previous work leading project schedules and resources.
- Experience obtained through advanced degree work will be considered.
