Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer specializing in web automation and manual testing to join our Software Engineering & Integration organization.

This role will involve analyzing business requirements, developing and executing manual and automated test scripts for API integrated testing, identifying and managing defects, performing database validation, and ensuring the quality of applications and systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with testing tools and methodologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

This role requires on-site work in downtown Atlanta on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.



Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product owners to establish acceptance criteria based on user stories and requirements.
  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts for API and web applications.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using Playwright, Postman, and Newman with JavaScript.
  • Develop and execute manual test plans and test cases utilizing Azure DevOps.
  • Build smoke, functional, regression, and system-level integration test suites for APIs and web services.
  • Report key testing metrics and statuses, ensuring automated test cases are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline for efficiency.
  • Conduct all aspects of QA testing, including smoke, functional, regression, exploratory, data, and mapping verification.
  • Identify, track, and resolve defects while providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate completed features and enhancements during sprint demos.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in manual testing, including analyzing requirements, documenting test cases, and tracking defects.
  • 7+ years of experience in API and web automated testing using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, QTest, Postman, and Newman.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript for automation scripting.
  • Experience with automating build and deployment processes in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps or similar test case/defect management tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer focus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with Python, Ruby, or other scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience performing manual API integrated testing with tools like Postman.
