About the Role

CPTE has an immediate opportunity for a licensed EMT to provide per diem on-site medical support during high school sporting events. In this role, you will ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during games and practices, adhering to New Hampshire state law requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide emergency medical care and first aid to athletes during games and practices
  • Assess and respond to injuries and medical situations on-site, stabilizing and managing athletes until further care is available if necessary
  • Coordinate with coaches, athletic directors, and medical personnel to ensure proper care and follow-up for injured athletes
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of any incidents, injuries, or treatments provided during events
  • Ensure that all necessary medical equipment and supplies are available and in good working order
  • Collaborate with athletic trainers, coaches, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe environment for all athletes

About You

You will be a great fit for this role if you have the following:

  • Valid EMT certification in the state of New Hampshire
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Experience in emergency medical services, preferably in a sports or high-stress environment
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate game schedules
  • Experience working with athletes or in a sports setting
  • Ability to assess and handle injuries in high-pressure situations effectively
