Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Community Worker- Patient Transport. The Community Worker (CW) will provide administrative and data entry support for Public Healths response efforts and projects. The CW may complete on-site support for testing at different sites, including homeless shelters and encampments. The CW will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to complete the testing and outbreak investigations at sites in the field and complete follow-up work in the office, as well as provide prevention information in the community.
Upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 6/30/2024, with a strong chance of extension.
Pay Rate-
$18.21/hr working 40 hours a week

Job Description:
- Primary duties will include transporting patients, utilizing a county vehicle, from shelters and group homes to medical appointments and testing and providing transportation back.
- Six months of full-time experience working with the public or with community groups performing duties such as interviewing clients or patients concerning health or social service matters, answering questions, and providing information about health, mental health, and social services to clients or patients; and
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
